The EU Commission has given the green light for state support for the development of fast-charging infrastructure for trucks at unmanaged rest areas along federal motorways. The approved funding volume amounts to up to €1.6 billion. With this, the development of public fast-charging points for battery-electric trucks on state-owned land can now be effectively implemented, as proposed by the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV).
